The Van den Brandhof's farm is situated right next to the beautiful 3500-hectare Dwingelderveld National Park, one of the largest continuous heathlands of Europe. The Leggelerveld and Blauwe Meer lake are within cycling distance. Discover all that Drenthe has to offer by bike, canoe or on foot.

Rik and Marion's farm is home to a wide range of livestock: a horse, ponies, dairy goats, a donkey, chickens, guinea pigs, cows, and even a pot-bellied pig. Children are free to stroke and pet the animals and help with feeding. There is also a playing field for children where they can work off their excess energy.

Het Betere Boerenbed

The Lange Weide is a member of Het Betere Boerenbed. All farms in this organisation offer their guests a wonderful, relaxing, outdoor holiday. There is plenty for children to do with the animals and helping the farmer, and a stay on a farm can be very educational. For some children this is the first time they see where their milk comes from!
