Haarlem Street Organ Museum

Haarlem Street Organ Museum
Outdoor activity with some shelterMuseumsHistory

Pride of place in the Street Organ Museum is thwe Kunkels Organ. This enormous concert organ is no less than 9 metres wide and 5.5 metres high. You can't miss it! Street organs of all shapes and sizes are tended with loving care in this Haarlem museum, including the Netherlands' oldest street organ 'De Jupiter'. Expert guides tell you all about the various organs and you can try your hand at being an organ grinder - just choose a book and wind the handle! The museum is run by volunteers and visits are free of charge. Activities are held regularly, such as concerts and a genuine street organ festival. Special children's afternoons are held with plenty of craft activities, an exciting story and the chance to get a real street organ diploma. A great idea for all the family!
