In the centre of the church building is an imposing 75-metre-high tower. The church is open to visitors every day except Sunday when services are held. Guided tours available by appointment. Much of the interior dates back to the days of the iconoclast, later it was painted with family coats of arms and other illustrations. The St. Bavochurch has a richly decorated organ built by Christiaan Müller and measuring almost 30 metres from the ground. Organ concerts are held regularly. Don't miss a visit to this wonderful old church during your day out in Haarlem!
