Plenty of fresh air on the island of Jac. P. Thijs

Texel. The very name is enough to make Dutch people want to take a trip to this island situated in the province of Noord-Holland. The island is a true Mecca for nature lovers. It was not without reason that Jac. P. Thijsse, the first protector of nature in the Netherlands, and well-known for his books on nature, was so attached to the place with its nature in abundance!

Noah's Ark in Meppel

Since April 2007 Noah's Ark has visited the Dutch ports of Schagen, Rotterdam, Sliedrecht, Arnhem, Huizen and Lelystad. Of course it is not the real Ark but an enormous 70-meter-long replica which contractor Johan Huibers from Broek in Langendijk in the province of Noord-Holland took 18 months to build. Noah's Ark is currently moored in Urk where visitors can get an impression of the biblical boat. The boat is now in Meppel.

Hugs and Kisses from Mega Mindy

Plopsaparks: if you've spent much time in the Netherlands you're bound to have heard of them, as they attract thousands of visitors from the Netherlands each year. This year these Belgian theme parks, Plopsaland De Panne, Plopsa Indoor Hasselt and Plopsa Coo attracted more visitors than ever, a success which has led to the planning of a Plopsapark in the Netherlands, due to open at Christmas 2008. This new park will be focused on providing a great day out for all the family, just like the Belgia

This is the ultimate way to experience this natural area for those who are not just hapy to see it from the deck of the ferry boat. It is an experience of nature at its best.
