Voerman Museum

Indoor activity

The Voerman Museum Hattem is a regional museum which was founded in 1949 to commemorate the 650th anniversary of the city of Hattem. It was orginally planned as a temporary exhibition. Besides the history of this city in Overijssel, the museum contains a large collection of paintings by Jan Voerman the elder, who painted lanscapes of the area around the River IJssel, and his son, also called Jan Voerman, who became well known for his paintings for the famous Verkade albums.
